@swanginrecords1 yeah, lower. i used to have a commander with only the 5.7 hemi. that got maybe, oh, i wanna say maybe 7 mpg in the town? yeah.
@crownv80 o i bet. those are sweet cars. ive heard of the timing. alot of guys in their lancer evolutions do that. and tune it for that. thats what im used to is the 4 cylinder turbo engines. basic bolt ons with an aggressive tune on those things you can get in the 11’s in the quarter. its nuts. 2 liters. mine surprised alot of people in v8s
@AWDSRT8Jeep ; yea i wish i had the dart now . hurt some feelings with that car ! Some people don`t know there are a lot of little tricks that cost little or nothing except time to gain a few hundreths here & there . I experiment to find things like that . like in some cases 2 to 4 degrees in timing .

@AWDSRT8Jeep ; In the gm line don`t care for anything above a 1972 ! I built a truck for a friend ; 1971 f100 on a 99 f150 chassis , 02 harley davidson 5.4 supercharged , aod . ONLY ONE I KNOW OF ! HE ALSO HAS A SRT10 REG CAB ; BOTH WILL HAUL IT , THE 71 HARLEY TRUCK IS 3/10 FASTER IN THE 1/4. THEY ARE CLOSE TO STOCK BUT THE F100 ONLY WEIGHS 4200 LBS , BTW ; I HAD A 68 340 DART IN 1976 .
@crownv80 o yeah. they are fun as hell to drive. ive had mine for awhile now and i wouldnt drive any other suv on the market. ive had guys in trailblaers ss’s tell me they will smoke me and when i light them up they can do noting but sit there with their mouths open

; a good driver makes a big difference ! i have a friend with an 03 cobra bonestock that ran 13.0 with street tires ; with drag radials ran 12.7 ! he owns a 10 second 69 mustang also . he let his brother drive the cobra with drag radials ran 13.1 . drivers make a difference .
@Dmbnigga4life ive been actually searching around on youtube looking at vids of stock 03/04 cobras and the lowest one ive seen is 12.62 the others have averaged around 12.7 some in the 13’s
@Dmbnigga4life i used to drive a 99 mustang gt. i have nothing against ford. i have just never seen anyone run that fast in a stock cobra.
@AWDSRT8Jeep go on yahoo and look up stock 03 cobra 1/4 mile times it will tell you they run 12.4 stock and thats on any cobra test or u can watch a vid on here called -3/04 cobra review.. and i kno what they run i c them run mid to low 12’s all the time stock my aunt had one and her husband got it to run a 12.58/9 @ 110mph all you need is a good driver and i guess u dont like ford bkus u clearly underrated the cobra
no way. 12.6 stock in a SC cobra….no. absolutely no. youd have to do the basic bolt ons, slicks, and 3.73’s or something similar in gears, and drag racing school to hit 12.6s with a SC cobra.
most people in these rwd mustang cobras…and all that business say o my car is capable of doing a 12.5 in the 1/4…well i would tell them i bet you couldnt get that thing to hit a 12.9. people think laying into the gas pedal is a good thing. WRONG. ive beat c6 corvettes in my jeep srt8 because they had no idea how to drive. theyd see me tear ass out of the hole and their instinct would take over and they punch it roasting the tires and defeating any chance they ever had of catching me.
the trailblazer ss gets the same gas mileage and runs a full second slower stock in the 1/4 mile. base prices are only a 4 to 5k difference

@SpoolinEvoVIII Thank God someone gets it! I’m sick of being on these forums and people talking about how a street race is BS because “on paper” the car sould have lost and this car runs this many seconds. As you said “professional” driver. I keep taking out Subaru STI’s in my M3 and I keep getting the guy launched bad or something. It’s like he’s a normal driver dude can’t drive end of story I won the race.
