If u are overweight and think u should get ur belly button pierced for motivation to lose the rest of your weight i’m here to tell you DON’T DO IT!!! First of all it takes 12 months for a belly button piercing to heal and unless ur stomach is perfectly flat and doesn’t fold over when you sit the chances of it healing correctly are not good. What happened to me was after 12 months when it was supposed to be healed it migrated out!!! I had never even heard of that. Basically what happens is …

I also have a dark scar from my piercing but I wasn’t that much overweight at that time it just cuz it was getting infected then healed then infected again. So i remove it and now gain some weight but i still thinking getting it redone again after i loose some weight.
this doesnt just happen 2 fat ppl. my friend shai weighs 100 pounds and it happened 2 her
i know a good way to diminish the scar. I would have to lick your bellybutton everyday untill it goes away. I don’t know how long it will take though.
but thats funny… I mean, im not overweighed, but ofcourse like most women I have a bit of bellyfat… How thin must you be to get a bellypiercing? model size or what? I had mine done 2 months ago and its going fine, but many women with “extra” pounds have one
I did two “diagonal pubic surface” piercings yesterday. FUCK I hope they decide to stay were they are…
can some one answer my question lol ok your not fat but your not skinny either but a bit of ur belly pops out what would happen if u got a belly piercing then you start doing excerise losing weight is that wrong?
Anyone can get a rejected belly button piercing, not just overweight people.
bellybutton takes three months to heel
I’m “fat” and I’ve had mine for 4 years. My stomach folds over. They just have to change the placement for a heavier person. Go to a SKILLED piercer. Migration is just movement, yours rejected.
i’m no tyra banks i’m not too big i’ve got mine pierced but the thing is, IT JUST HURTS LIKE A BITCH! it’s not infected or anything but it just hurts.
it could be cause there is extra fat or cause it’s just healing, i’m not sure.
But its fine with me it just KILLS! ( i recently re-piereced )
ouch it must hurt for you
I got it pierced the day before yesterday since it has been longer than 2 years since I last did it and so far so good
I actually went to a legit piercist this time haha! I can help but be extremely paranoid that it will reject it again…time will tell I suppose (and I double checked that she didn’t use anything but titanium and she said that they don’t even stock anything but titanium) but…no swimming for 4 months…booo
Thanks u muchly
Try titanium, it’s a hyperallergenic metal, many people react to stainless steel, but a good piercer will be able to give you a titanium bar. Also, let it heal for at least 6 months, preferably a year before you repierce. Scar tissue is more fragile than normal skin, but when you give it time, the scar tissue grows stronger. Good luck.
First of all, you didn’t get the scar because the piercing migrated, you got it because it rejected, and I bet you kept it in until it broke through the skin. If a piercing migrates, take it out before it rejects and you will be fine. Second: An overweight person can pierce his/her belly successfully as long as the body doesn’t fold over your belly button, but that advice is also true for skinny people. Any decent piercer will tell you that:-) Third: if you repierce, try titanium or platinum!
Mine is like that on top and bottom because I incessently kept on getting it pierced despite obvious rejection…It’s been a long time now and I will go to a less dodgey (..?) piercist this time but would they pierce it when it’s like that?
I think it’s pretty obvious that I’m desperate to keep it pierced
You worthless drain on society go kill yourself you fat fucking bastard. Fuck you are such a fat fucking disgusting pig.
I had my belly pierced 5 or 6 years ago and mine rejected too but it wasn’t my weight, I was in highschool so I wasn’t bigger than a size 3 I went to the place I got it done, and the lady said it could happen for a number if reasons, becuse the ring was to heavy for my skin, or because when they peierced it there wasn’t enough skin in front of it. So it’s not just about weight
Ok, and it sure as hell does NOT take a year for it to heal. My piercer and every one that i’ve ever gone to check they’re work out says it takes about 6 to 8 months. 9 at the absolute most. My stomache folds over & i’ve had my navel done for 6 years. No rejection. Maybe you just didn’t take care of your shit. My bestfriend’s was rejected and gee! she has a scar just like that. she’s as thin as a damn rail. Please get your facts straight & talk to a pro before you go & post a ridicluous video.
It was rejected…. its not cuz your fat.
well i am 5″9 and 160. cheerleader mostley mustlle when i stand my stomach is flat but my lil sis is 5′5 and 101 pounds solid muscle however even when she bends down she has a lil bulge and i have one too i really dont think overweight would be the right term. sorry though.
i didn’t have a “ridiculously flat” stomach, i mean, it was flat when i was standing up, but everyone’s tummy folds a little when they sit down…and mine healed just fine in 3 months. it definitely does NOT take a year and shouldn’t even take as long as 8 months.
oh and next time do your researc BEFORE you get your piercing, my stomachs not flat either, and even my piercer said.. its HIGHEST rejection rate, your bodys rejectiong the metal (example- if u get a splinter) it pushes it out the same wayy.. and it should take less than a year to heal.. around 6-8 months.. if its not healed by then, than you should know something wrong
It explains it if your sitting in your bed with a laptop, go exersice & lose some weight.
seriusly people if youre going to have rude comments then shut your trap. shes just warning/telling what will happen jeez. if it happened to you and you’re skinny then just comment saying hey im skinny it happened to me. not so immature comment like that. >.o I’m looking into gettin mine done im average and i havent rejected anything yet but ill heed your warning tho!
It has nothing to do with weight. Although it might make it reject faster the piercing can come out no matter what size you are because there is nothing keeping it from coming out such as cartilage. Also the reason it gets pushed out is because its a forgein object and your body thinks that its bad so it will push it out. Skinny or fat.
